My name is Amparo Gabarda, and I am a freelance illustrator based in Valencia, Spain.

I have a background in graphic design and graphic arts, and I focus mainly on illustrating children’s books for early readers, educational publications, and activity books.

Throughout my career, I have collaborated with authors and publishers such as Aplec.cat, Susaeta, SM and Macmillan, working on projects aimed at children and educational audiences.

I primarily work with digital art, exploring textures that capture the softness of colored pencils and wax crayons, achieving a warm, handcrafted feel in each illustration.

I love bringing animal protagonists to life, creating fantastic characters, and building imaginative worlds that invite children to dream.
